Sunrise of Canyonlands from the beautiful Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah, USA. Dead Horse Point is one of the most photographed Vistas in the world and while I'm sure the comp has been done by others, my composition was inspired by a shot taken by my friend, Chad Dutson (chaddutson.com) . Go check out his phenomenal work. I was shooting this morning in another area but I felt the clouds were perfect for this vantagepoint. I took my time to carefully compose so the tree would be isolated in the sky which required getting very low to the ground. When I saw this in my viewfinder I knew I had my shot.
