Description
This remote area in Southern Utah is relatively unknown and seldom photographed for reasons that I do not understand. Perhaps it is overshadowed by nearby Zion National Park. Whatever the reason, I am happy to enjoy the peace and solitude of this geological wonderland. This image was taken on my third visit to this place. The light was absolutely incredible as the sun poked through a gap in the horizon and for a few fleeting seconds bathed the landscape in a golden glow.

Wonderful composition of this desert region. The lines of the rocks in the foreground act like a leading line pathway that guides my eye to the mountain peaks and the sun rising above them. Love the light that baths the warm orange tones of the rocks in golden light. L/F
