This photograph is currently on display at the Utah Museum of Natural History. I watched the moonrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands and it was a wonderful surreal experience. Light fog in the valley exposing so many layers fading to the horizon and low clouds in the distance created an otherworldly scene. Luckily I was able to capture the feeling of the night in this picture.
As a Utah native, Dustin LeFevre spent his childhood exploring and developing a deep appreciation for nature. He spends his free time exploring the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the West. Chasing sunsets and sunrises, he hopes to capture not just what is in front of his lens, but also the way it makes him feel. He hopes his images will help inspire the same appreciation of nature and desire to explore in others.
