Artist's Description

This was my fifth time visiting Marlboro Point in search of a sky that could complement this incredible vantage point near Canyonlands National Park, Utah. I had been helping my good friend, Chad Dutson set up his gallery showing at Dead Horse Point State Park all day. His images will be on display at least until the end of October 2015 if you are in the area ( chaddutson.com). Chad had never visited the 4 wheel drive only accessible location so I took him and his wife to photograph it. I thought I had my composition picked out but when the color started I decided I was no longer happy with it and began searching frantically for a foreground that better complimented our incredible sky. When I set up my tripod here, I knew I had my shot.

About Dustin LeFevre

Dustin LeFevre

As a Utah native, Dustin LeFevre spent his childhood exploring and developing a deep appreciation for nature. He spends his free time exploring the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the West. Chasing sunsets and sunrises, he hopes to capture not just what is in front of his lens, but also the way it makes him feel. He hopes his images will help inspire the same appreciation of nature and desire to explore in others.
