The snow falls rarely on the floor of Zion. If we are lucky it only happens once or twice per year. I was lucky this year to photograph Zion in the aftermath of the storm. After sunrise I began to wonder up the famous Narrows to explore the beautiful reflected light of the canyon walls. I was looking for scene that showed the seasons and when I found this small autumn leaf perched on this rock I knew I had found my shot.
As a Utah native, Dustin LeFevre spent his childhood exploring and developing a deep appreciation for nature. He spends his free time exploring the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the West. Chasing sunsets and sunrises, he hopes to capture not just what is in front of his lens, but also the way it makes him feel. He hopes his images will help inspire the same appreciation of nature and desire to explore in others.
