I had spent the day in Antelope Canyon and when I came out I had just enough time to get to the bend to hunt for my perspective. Board with the typical composition that I have shot before and seen in countless other photographs I wandered north around the bend. I found an interesting crop through some cliff edges that partially obscured the bend and shot there for most of the sunset. Once the sun was no longer visible I abandoned my post, luckily! I found this perspective just as the sunset began its second wind.
As a Utah native, Dustin LeFevre spent his childhood exploring and developing a deep appreciation for nature. He spends his free time exploring the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the West. Chasing sunsets and sunrises, he hopes to capture not just what is in front of his lens, but also the way it makes him feel. He hopes his images will help inspire the same appreciation of nature and desire to explore in others.
